About this work

The Little Man Justus Rommelkop as a peasant with a glass of beer in his hand. Verses in German, French, and Dutch in the caption. Numbered right center: 38. Print within a decorative border printed from a separate plate with monsters and a harlequin at the bottom. Part of Part II in the second Dutch bound edition of 1720 (related to the Windhandel of that year) of a series of caricatures of little people, known as Het Dwergentooneel, partly copied from an older German model.
