About this work
Two little people for the month of August (Oogstmaand). A jester with a sleeping woman. Verses in German, French and Dutch in the caption. Print within a decorative border printed from a separate plate for the month of August with two bathing little people and dogs. Part of volume III (a series of the twelve months) in the second Dutch bound edition of 1720 (and related to the Windhandel of that year) of a series of caricatures of little people, known as Het Dwergentooneel, partly copied from an older German model.
