About this work

Plan of the fortifications around the city of Lille (Rysel). In the bottom right, a man, possibly a messenger, bows before a commander in front of his army tent. Part of an atlas containing 223 maps of countries and cities and scenes of war in Europe from the period ca. 1690-1735.
