Satirical Print on the Committee of Finance, 1795. A Member of the Committee Buys from an 'Honest Jew' on the Left an Automaton for Making Money (a Devil Defecating Coins). In the Center on the Floor, an Empty Money Chest in Which a Little Devil Sits. On the Right, a Cabinet Filled with Bundles of Worthless Receipts and Assignats Falls onto Two Bankers, Possibly Koenraad Hovens and Nicolaas van Staphorst.
