About this work
Willem George Frederik, Prince of Orange-Nassau, is wounded in a fight against the French at Wervik in West Flanders on 13 September 1793. Centrally, the prince on horseback at the moment he is hit by a musket shot. Illustration in the four-part Life of Willem George Frederik (1802-1803).
