About this work
A burgher woman and her daughter walk to church. The woman holds a Bible, and her daughter, holding a fan, looks back. First installment of four plates, published in 1803. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty plates of Dutch national costumes in the Batavian Republic at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, ca. 1807.
