About this work
A maid buying milk from a milkwoman at the door. She pours a pint of milk into a bowl. First installment of four plates, published in 1803. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty plates of Dutch costumes in the Batavian Republic at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, ca. 1807.
