About this work
The fifth triumphal carriage in the procession for Saint Rumbold. The carriage dedicated to the House of Orange-Nassau. At the top, in a temple, sit the king and queen, before them the princes and princesses accompanied by some Virtues. The procession was held on June 28, and July 5 and 12, 1825. Illustration in a publication on the occasion of the 1050th anniversary in 1825 of the death of Saint Rumoldus or Rombout, patron saint of the city of Mechelen, who was thought to have died in 775.
