About this work

Ivory carving, fragment, of two kings in a landscape. Of the figures, which are carved from a concave piece of ivory, the left one is turned to the right, has a beard and holds an object in his right hand, while his left hand rests against his chest in a pointing gesture. The right figure is turned to the left, holds a pot in both hands and looks upwards. Behind them the heads of a camel and a horse.
