About this work
Oriental "Damascus" carpet, so-called mammaluck carpet, with three medallions one above the other on a red central field, two octagonal and in the center an eight-pointed star, filled with radially placed motifs. Smaller medallions fill the field. Turquoise-blue border with a sequence of rhombic and elongated cartouches.
