The back and seat are upholstered in red wool velvet (trijp), over a flat hard padding on paper. On the underside and back, this paper is pasted with printed cotton in black and red. The seat and back are trimmed with a yellow lacquered paper band on which large and small copper decorative nails alternate. There is also a row of nails on the red trijp of the seat and back. The chairs are provided with loose covers (sewn with thread around them), made of pink silk velvet (same color as the back of chair D), trimmed with wide and narrow passementerie with looped fringe.
