About this work
The deep oval bowl is surrounded by a applied pearl border. It is pierced with a pattern of a small oval within a wreath of rays crowned by knobs, with a border of stylized leaf scrolls around it. The twisted wooden, baluster-shaped stem, crowned by an acorn-shaped knob, is separated from the V-shaped junction by a round, widening silver connecting piece, to which it is attached with a pin.
