About this work
Pig on leather. On a long rectangular plate with an engraved diamond pattern stands a lamppost. Against the pole rests a ladder, on which a slaughtered pig hangs. The image is marked: maker's mark = Amsterdam, year mark = E (1764), maker = Arnoldus van Geffen, and an axe.
