About this work
Cap crown made of bobbin lace. The pattern has a medallion of floral scrolls within which a palmetto crowned by a dove with a branch in its beak. Along the edge the pattern has six bouquets and at the top a palmetto. The crown is bobbin-laced in linen stitch on a ground of mesh with decorative stitches and bars.
