About this work

Linen damask cloth with checks, stars, and in the corners Mary with Child. Central field: square with checks and four stars. The border is formed by a symmetrically arranged decoration of vines and flowers on either side of a vase with flowers as the central motif. Corners: Mary with Child on her arm, both crowned and surrounded by halos. Above them in an arch: Gelobt seij Jesus Christus; below in an arch in the opposite direction: In Ewigkeit Amen.
