About this work
Birth spoon in rose silver. The bowl is oval (nearly circular); the handle is crowned by a child figure with a hood and further decorated with the Dutch lion, a branch, and a crown; dated 1938. The monogram J.B. is applied at the attachment of the handle to the bowl. Designed by Ir. van der Veen, on the occasion of the birth of Princess Beatrix.
