Strip of bobbin lace with a continuous row of circles and trapezoidal fields

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Swedish lace. The strip is pinned to a light blue card with seven other strips. Above the strip is written on the card "Laces from Dalecarlia. (Dalarna)". The repeating and continuous pattern is formed by a bundle of threads, worked through a mesh ground, a rhombic net ground. These meshes are interrupted by a simple decorative ground of always three larger oval meshes. Around these three oval meshes the thick thread forms a trapezoidal field to then form a configuration of three circular fields in the net ground and then again a trapezoidal field around the oval meshes. And so on. The top and underside of the strip are finished straight and provided with picots.
