Gilded lime-wood torchère

Gilded lindenwood torchère. On three radiating claw feet stands a triangular base, decorated at the corners with knotted volutes and on each face with a medallion. Resting on this is a triangular cover plate with slightly concave sides, upon which rises the shaft, consisting of the following sections: a cup-shaped part with a scalloped edge, an inverted pomegranate, a disc, an acanthus knob, from which rises a tapering fluted column shaft, ending in four rings of different diameters, while the third and fourth are decorated with a pearl border. Above this is a round cover disc with a square tenon.
