About this work
Console of oak and palm wood. The body is a cube, carved in relief with acanthus leaves and ending in an Ionic capital, decorated with foliage and a heavy egg-and-dart molding, under which a pearl string. The cube stands on a projecting base, which tapers at the bottom with acanthus leaves, ending in a hanging pomegranate. The abacus consists of three sections, the lower of which is decorated with a cyma motif.
