Knight of the Golden Fleece

Ivory figurine. Depicting a knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, standing on an oval base of ivory, the right leg slightly forward of the left. In the right hand a dagger, the left hand with spread fingers on the hilt of the sword. Head with beard, turned slightly to the left. Clothing: beret with ostrich feathers, loose mantle with fur collar and short sleeves. Along the hem an engraved ornament of volutes and flowers; the sides trimmed with fur. Under the mantle a doublet with belt and a ribbon with a bow around the neck; beneath it a shirt. On the chest the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece, hanging from a cord. The short breeches, like the doublet and sleeves, are openwork. Knee-high stockings in reasonably pointed shoes. From the belt, pairs of straps run down on both sides, to which on the left hangs the sword and on the right a silk tassel.
