About this work
She sits with crossed legs on a raised platform and holds a lamb against her left hip, which she lets drink from a bowl in her right hand. Her hair, held by a band, forms a knot at the back of the head; loose braids fall onto the shoulders. The fallen garment, which leaves her upper body uncovered, hangs in folds over her knees.
