About this work
Standing figure of a young woman in unglazed clay painted like terra-cotta; she stands on her left leg, while the right leg is bent at the knee; the head, whose features have been wiped out, is turned to the left, looking somewhat downwards. With her right hand she holds a cloth hanging over her back to the ground at a point above her head, while with her left she holds the cloth in front of her, grasped in the middle. She stands on a hollow-profiled, round pedestal.
