About this work

Armchair of walnut, upholstered on a removable frame. The S-shaped legs, ending in acanthus leaves, merge into the carved seat rails. The legs, front seat rail, armrests and armrest supports, the back frame and back frame supports are decorated with punched leaf and flower motifs; notable on the upper frame is the punched rocaille crest with flower sprigs. The seat frame is trapezoidal. Profiled moldings, uninterrupted or with C- and S-scrolls, emphasize the contour. See also: BK-15591.
