About this work

Hobo, probably of blackened palmwood with silver mounts, consisting of a mouthpiece with punched leaf ornament and a beaded edge, a ring with a similar beaded edge, to which a silver chain is attached, a ring decorated with a similar beaded edge and engraved leaf ornament, which continues over a flared leaf ornament edge, three silver keys with engraved Louis XV ornament, while on the key cap between engraved palm branches is indicated MM 1744; followed by two corresponding wider rings. The woodwork is turned and decorated with rings and ovals.
