About this work

Upholstered chair, part of the Kops furniture suite, of white and blue-grey painted beechwood resting on conical legs. The seat rails and aprons of the back frame, with Tuscan fluted columns as back posts, feature carved garlands with rosettes. Finished with rosettes and acanthus leaves. The upholstery displays floral motifs on a light blue satin ground, supported on the back by griffins. Ordered for the property at Nieuwe Gracht 74, Haarlem.
