About this work
The round bowl rests on a foot with a straight wall and a flat lower edge. The two flat ears consist of a cast, openwork symmetrical ornament. This is built up from volutes, which at the top are connected by an arched frame, filled with a shell, below which a palm-leaf-like motif in a frame of two C-volutes. Between these elements there is lattice work.
