Pipe bowl with six-lobed, openwork upper rim

The round brazier has three cast feet, resting on ebony blocks, and a red copper inner basin. It is mounted on a mahogany board. The feet are in the form of acanthus leaves, ending in volutes. The leaves are applied to the domed wall of the brazier, over the profiled lower edge thereof. From the lower edge hang laurel wreaths bound with ribbons between the feet. They always meet in the middle of the space between two feet at a nail, from which hangs an oval medallion with a laurel-wreathed male head turned to the right on a rough ground. Above the middle of each wreath the lower edge is interrupted by a large hanging acanthus leaf. The brazier widens to the six-lobed upper rim. There it is openwork with ovals engraved on the upper side, connected by rosettes. The outer edge is decorated with an applied pearl border, interrupted at the indentations between the lobes by inward-curving acanthus motifs.
