About this work
Silver tobacco pot on a wooden stand. Cylindrical vessel on a low foot; slightly domed, once interrupted lid with a flat knob, on which a vase. Five pearl borders along the edges. Marked under the foot: city stamp Gouda, year letter M = 1791, Dutch lion, master's mark DS = Daniël Scholenaar (Gouda Silver, Mark of Haarlem with small running lion, year letter M. (not found). Master's mark D.S. not at the foot.
