About this work
The matching sugar shakers have a high, melon-shaped body, pinched into six segments, resting on three volute-shaped feet with a leaf-shaped base. At the top a rim is mounted, composed of a repeating motif of leaves. The lid consists of a tapering neck and a domed top. It is entirely ribbed and pierced with a pattern of volutes, circles, tears and rectangles, and is crowned by an oak leaf. The lid has a bayonet closure.
