About this work

Lid of tureen, belonging to a porcelain service, decorated with a scrolling ribbon motif in purple and gold with green leafy branches, flower bouquets, and scattered flower branches. Lightly fluted edges with decoration in gold with a purple leaf motif between which a green crossed leaf motif. Gilded knob not original, added later. Marked: M.O.L. and Amstel.
