About this work

Six mahogany chairs with leather seats. The diagonally placed S-shaped front legs end in claw and ball and carry foliage on the swellings ending in a volute; the rear legs are bent backward. The back features a two-part openwork vertical connecting piece, displaying a braided band motif, among others built up from C-shaped volutes. The back stiles show strings of bellflowers. The shaped top rail carries foliage in the center; the corners are directed upward.
