About this work

Lidded pot (cream pot) of porcelain with a light pear-shaped body and curved handle, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, purple, black and gold. The belly is decorated with various bouquets and wildflowers. The foot and rim with a blue line, interrupted by two diagonal gold stripes each time. On the rim above this line a gold band of half balls. The lid with the same decoration; lid knob in the shape of a fruit branch with a gold rosette. Marked on the underside with the double L with year letter ii, below which an N.
