About this work

Tin ewer, also called 'pipe jug'. The footring and spout rim are profiled. The jug is closed with a vaulted, profiled lid. The thumb rest is decorated with two acorns and connects via a single hinge to the handle. The spout stands at right angles to the handle and begins just above the belly with a pointed extension. The spout extends internally to the bottom.
