About this work
Archive cabinet of the States General. This wooden cabinet once housed part of the archive that was kept at the States General assembly hall until around 1700. It contained documents relating to foreign policy. Behind the doors are 39 drawers and an inner cabinet which can be closed. Each drawer has a label with the name of a country. One of the items in the inner cabinet was the velvet case containing the charter of the Treaty of Münster (1648).
