About this work

Listed on this panel are the names of all the Dutch directors who resided at the Netherlands' trading post in Japan between 1610 and 1850, initially in Hirado, and from 1641 on Deshima. They controlled the Dutch–Japanese trade. The list also includes the number of ships that arrived and those that were lost at sea.
