About this work
Bellows of walnut. The top panel, carved in relief, depicts the Workshop of Vulcanus, including Vulcanus, Venus, Amor, an armored knight, and an old man; on both sides volutes with drapery. The handle is decorated with a pierced mask. The back panel displays a mask in relief, surrounded by C-volutes. The handle has a palmette with an iron ring. The copper blowpipe is jointed and decorated with satyrs, putti, and an animal head. Between the panel and the pipe, a wooden extension piece.
