Jug, decorated with music-making women

Pitcher of copper, decorated with scenes in enamel. On the relatively flat foot, karyatid-like figures are depicted. The bulbous body has a thickening halfway up in white decorated with gilded leaf scrolls. Below this rim, on one half, a group of singing and music-making women is depicted, the other half shows a group of men with flags, some on horseback. The upper half of the body shows a wagon drawn by oxen, on which a woman and a man playing the violin sit. In front of it walks Mercury. Behind the wagon walk several more music-making women and a loving couple. The upright neck is decorated on the outside with palm leaves, on the inside the signature: SUSANNE.COURT.F. The black handle is decorated with gilded flowers.
