About this work

Christ with the loincloth sits on the tomb with his knees slightly turned to the left and his head in the opposite direction. He is supported at his outstretched arms by two kneeling, weeping angels on the tomb. Behind him stands the cross. The angels are dressed in albs, girded at the waist with their sleeves rolled up. The relief is bordered by a raised edge; below the crossbeam are two holes.
