About this work
Chair back of wine-red velvet with appliqué embroidery. On the short sides, truncated branches wrapped in a ribbon. Side branches with acanthus leaves ending in lilies, acorns, ears of corn and grape clusters. Appliqué of gold brocade embroidered with green and yellow silk. Gold and blue cord laid along the contours. Leaf veins of silver thread.
