About this work
Milk jug of painted porcelain. The jug has a four-lobed form and is almost entirely covered with a violet ground. On the body of the jug, within the ground, two large bracket-shaped quatrefoils and a smaller one are cut out; on the lid, four quatrefoils. Within the quatrefoils, one or two boys among flowers are painted, sometimes only flowers. In one depiction, they play a trumpet and a string instrument. The milk jug is marked.
