Tureen with lid, multicolored painted with a Kakiemon decoration

Oval tureen of painted porcelain. The tureen stands on four white claw feet above which is a palmette motif in relief. The tureen has two handles. The knob of the lid consists of a putto with a cornucopia from which flowers spill over the lid. The tureen and lid are ribbed and painted with a tiger winding around a bamboo stem and scattered Indian flowers. The rims are decorated with the 'Altbrandenstein' pattern.
