About this work
Half-spherical tureen of painted porcelain. The tureen has a spout and a profiled handle. The half-spherical lid has a knob in the form of a branch with leaves and flowers in relief. The tureen and lid are ribbed and painted with a tiger winding around a bamboo stem, scattered Indian flowers, butterflies, and branches with birds. The rims are decorated with the 'Altbrandenstein' pattern.
