About this work
Yellow silk damask wall covering. Symmetrical pattern of two rising wavy vines with large peony-shaped flowers with scaly hearts; smaller flowers are placed in pairs, as are flower buds, feathered leaves and arabesque vines, which end in cloud bands. Pattern of twill weave, satin weave ground. From the building at Voorstraat 140 in Dordrecht. One strip has some water damage at the bottom. One part has two sewn-together strips, the other twelve.
