About this work
Three tiles from a column. Faience. Delft, pottery De Grieksche A under Adriaen Kocks, c. 1690. After a design by Daniel Marot. The tiles were probably made for Queen Mary, the consort of King-Stadholder William III, for the Water Gallery at Hampton Court. The columns must have originally consisted of four, or four and-a-half, tiles. On loan from the Koninklijk Oudheidkundig Genootschap.
