Tile picture with a company on a terrace. Tin-glazed earthenware. Amsterdam, Willem van der Kloet's tile factory 'De twee Romeinen' (The Two Romans), c. 1707. Exceptionally large tile pictures like this were made in Amsterdam for the Portuguese market. This example was for the Galvao Mexia Palace in Lisbon.
