About this work
Floor carpet of coarse-woven tapestry. Central field: on a green ground with rows of two similar rosettes of lighter green, stands a round central medallion with a light blue ground, featuring flying bees and a rosette with palmette filling in beige-brown-rose. Border: on a dark brown ground, branches with two red bunch flowers and two leaves each spring from round corner medallions. Plain separating strips of grey-white and yellow. Outer borders of dark brown and fragmentary orange. The carpet is largely restored.
