About this work

Nautilus shell decorated with grapevines cut from the mantle around the walls and four concentric ovals on the underside. Two female heads resting in a rosette are carved from the thickness around the umbilicus. Signed Cbf (Cornelis Bellekin fecit). Northern Netherlands, second half of the 17th century.
