About this work
Palm shawl border. Woven in wool. In a narrow white frame stands on an ochre ground a row of large feather motifs bending to the left. Each feather shows an inner cone of fine flowers on a spiky leaf rosette. The whole is enclosed by even finer flowers. The ground between the feathers is filled with loose flowers. The decor is in red and three nuances of blue. Satin lining.
