About this work
Half-bowl basin of painted porcelain. The wall is ten-lobed and the rim is scalloped. The basin is decorated with a Kakiemon pattern. The interior is painted on the bottom with a ground of flowering branches with birds and on the wall ten flowering branches. The exterior wall is painted with flowering branches upon which a bird (hoho-bird) and a stooping boy. The basin is unmarked.
