About this work

Men's waistcoat with shawl collar, entirely embroidered with multicolored floral motifs interrupted by diagonal and straight stripes. Model: short and straight cut. Two pockets with standing collar. Low neckline, with shawl collar. All edges finished with silk trim in purple and green/white stripe. Button closure with small embroidered buttons. Pattern: in fine stem stitch run diagonal stripes from top left to bottom right, both on left and right front panel. Narrow stripes show a white-, broad stripes a mustard-yellow ground. Very full and closed decoration of octagonal flowers, fan-shaped wreathed. On the following broad stripes the octagon alternates with a palmette. As a finish a palmette border. Edges finished with silk trim in purple with green/white stripe. Button closure with small embroidered buttons.
